Jacinta has been travelling since her kindergarten days in the back of a Ford Falcon station wagon in the 1970’s to more refined methods today.
With a background in hospitality & tourism, along with a life long love of travel and the desire to experience different venues, cultures, accommodation houses (along with the love of the written word), reviewing and writing about these destinations made sense.
As a features writer for Solo Traveller Magazine as Destinations Advisor, Jacinta continued to share her knowledge until the magazine was discontinued.
Writing reviews on TripAdvisor in recent years was another way for Jacinta to share experiences in an open and honest way for other travellers.

Jacinta’s extensive career in hospitality, tourism, and events spans several decades and encompasses leadership across venues, resorts, and major cultural institutions. She began as a Bar Manager at the Australian Tennis Centre, progressing to manage Melbourne’s pioneering comedy venue, The Comedy Cafe, and establishing the Fox & Hounds Hotel as one of Melbourne’s premier live music venues in the 1990s. Her expertise extended to nightlife and entertainment management with roles at The Down Under Rock Cafe, Chasers, The Mansion, and The Palace. Alongside venue management, Jacinta led marketing and promotions for Falls Creek Ski Resort, demonstrating a breadth of experience across tourism and seasonal operations.
Transitioning to luxury resort management, Jacinta served as Operations Manager at Turtle Island Resort & Airways, Fiji, where she oversaw marketing, VIP events, shipping, and purchasing for multiple five-star resorts. Her leadership in operations and guest experiences was complemented by strategic buying responsibilities across Fiji’s premier hospitality properties.
Even as her career pivoted into the fashion sector, her focus remained on high-quality events, venues and experiences, maintaining a strong connection to hospitality, tourism, and experiential management. Every experience is met with Jacinta’s eye for detail.
